Farrago Poetry

London's longest-running slam poetry presenter

London's tradition of performed poetry starts right here.

Welcome to the Farrago Poetry home site on the web. Here, you will find connections to the Farrago Poetry series, where you can read information on upcoming events, study the Farrago's poetry series, and discover ways where you may participate, not just as an audience member, but as a peformance poet.

The Farrago Poetry series has an established tradition of presenting well-known poets side-by-side with new, emerging writers, on a lively stage that is home to all. Poets join us from London, the UK, and elsewhere in the world. We regularly present non-English language writers, to support London's broad cultural life. We also offer regular poetry slams, where new and veteran writers alike compete for prizes with their original poetry and charismatic performances. Few other literary organizations may offer our combination of artistic variety, cross-cultural dialogue, and an audience drawn from an epicenter of world culture.

Join us at the next programme to see for yourself. You may read more about Farrago Poetry here. Or follow the links page to MySpace or Facebook to engage us on the web. Please take a moment to browse our past events, and see why Farrago Poetry is so significant in London's literary life.
