Farrago Central London Slam Championships

Open to any poet SLAM! Come early to sign up for a slot. Any subject or style, read or perform, every poet wins a prize! The winner Qualifies for the Farrago London SLAM! Poetry Championship Finals. There will be places for the first seven poets who arrive -- sign up in the theatre from 7:00 PM -- and then five names will be drawn out of the hat from the whoever turns up to sign up by the time the slam begins. Charlotte Ansell, winner of slams in London and around the UK; Kat Francois, Word for Word founder, former Farrago UK SLAM! and Current BBC Slam Poetry Champion; A.F. Harrold, Reading’s finest and much, much, more; Steve Larkin, Oxford Slam master, officially launching his first CD, The Midas Touch and other Curses.

A little something to start the night:

David J, South London’s veteran verbal pugilist will be launching off the event in style.

Tickets can be bought from the RADA Box Office in advance on 0207 908 4800, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Credit cards accepted. The George Bernard Shaw theatre is in the RADA building and is accessed through the Foyer Bar, just southeast of UCL. It is a great studio theatre space and everyone who buys a ticket is guaranteed a seat as well as a marvellous show. Tickets: £6/£4.
